You think your data is protected because you use a backup service.   It isn't. 

Unless you can restore it quickly and easily, it isn't. 

The truth is, backup companies are in the business of backing up data, not restoring data.  Yeah, I know, that just sounds crazy, but it's true.  As a result, restoring your data (getting it back!) is a painful, frustrating process most of the time.
